Description |
One of twenty-two mural panels extracted from the James Norton House, 7 Norton Place, East Baldwin, ME and painted by Jonathan Poor, Rufus Porter's nephew. Original location: First floor entrance hall corner wall 101B-C is the outside corner wall on the left facing side of the staircase. This mural panel includes the rectangular section of plaster facing the front door (wall C) and the triangular wall section parallel with the staircase (wall B). These murals are among the latest of Poor's walls and have been described as the most elaborately detailed Poor murals documented to date. |
