Description |
One of twenty-two mural panels extracted from the James Norton House, 7 Norton Place, East Baldwin, ME and painted by Jonathan Poor, Rufus Porter's nephew. Original location: Second floor small bedroom, exterior plaster wall opposite the door to the room. The lower panel is the dado section below the window. The face of the panel is the inboard of the upper panel, which sits on the back edge of a 7 x 7 beam. These murals are among the latest of Poor's walls and have been described as the most elaborately detailed Poor murals documented to date. |
